From a young age, Tristan developed an appreciation for collectibles, inspired by his love of basketball, baseball, and Pokémon cards, and by watching his father collect comic books, model trains, and war memorabilia.

Originally planning to become a financial analyst, Tristan’s career path shifted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it difficult to meet clients in person. During this time, he became a reseller and frequented estate sales, which eventually led him to start online estate auctions.

Tristan’s passion for research drives his work. While his team has extensive knowledge of various items, he still finds excitement in discovering and learning about new things. He values forming personal connections with clients, offering them professional estate services while assisting with other decisions, such as finding realtors or movers. His online auctions also bring attention to local history, helping preserve and celebrate the community’s heritage.

Cory was first introduced to the world of estate sales through his mom, who runs a senior moving and downsizing company. Initially unfamiliar with the intricacies of the estate sale process beyond attending a few sales in the past, Cory quickly grew to appreciate the depth of work involved. Over time, he found a passion for the business and has come to truly enjoy the experience. One of his favorite aspects of the job is uncovering unique oddities and antiques, each with its own story to tell. The variety of items people collect never ceases to fascinate him, and he loves learning about the rich history behind each piece. For Cory, the best part of working in estate sales is the connection with repeat customers. Week after week, he takes pride in seeing familiar faces light up with excitement when they win an item or lot they’ve been hoping for. The enthusiasm and joy that customers express make his role even more rewarding, and he values the opportunity to help create those special moments.

Kevin has always had a deep connection to history and a passion for antiques. Growing up in a family where heirlooms were cherished and passed down through generations, Tristan developed a fascination with antique furniture and historical items. His love for American history led him to a 34-year career as a history teacher, a role that honed his appreciation for the stories behind every item.

After retiring from teaching, Tristan found a natural transition into estate sales, working alongside his son in the business they built together. Baker Estate Sales was founded on the principles of respect, hard work, and compassion—values that Tristan is proud to see at the core of their company. He enjoys the thrill of uncovering unique antiques in the estates they manage, but what he finds most rewarding is helping clients navigate what can often be an emotional and overwhelming process. His goal is to ease their concerns, ensuring their cherished possessions are handled with care and passed on to new owners with the same respect they deserve.
